# Qexus

Use the public API at `https://api.qex.us/v1`. The user creates a scoped API key
in the authenticated Qexus workspace. Keep it in a server-side environment
variable named `QEXUS_API_KEY`; never expose or persist it in client storage.

`POST /searches` accepts `{category:"people"|"company", mode:"instant"|"smart"|
"ludicrous",query:string|object,limit:1..10,offset:0..90}`. Instant and Smart
queries contain at most 200 characters. Ludicrous uses Bright Data structured
filters. Include `Authorization: Bearer $QEXUS_API_KEY`, `Content-Type:
application/json` and a stable `Idempotency-Key` (8–100 letters/digits/_/-).

Each request fetches exactly one provider page. Do not automatically retry paid
calls, paginate, crawl, replace request identities or top up an account. Ten
searches per user daily and bounded global spending limits apply.

For a 202 response, read `GET /receipts/{original-idempotency-key}`. This is a
read of the original result, not a replacement search. History is available at
`GET /history`; saved profiles at `GET /saved`. Save selected IDs using
`POST /saved` with `{requestId,ids:[...]}`. Results are account-scoped.

Return source links, the original receipt identity, quoted prices separately
from settled costs, and uncertainty. Jev assesses professional relevance.
Never call it identity, employment eligibility or email verification. Never
guess personal contact details. Clearly identify Example mode as sample data.
